<p>PURPOSE:To improve handleability by providing a detecting means for the use direction of the device, and a control means for the display direction of a display screen, detecting the use direction of the device without executing a user's operation, and controlling the direction of the display screen. CONSTITUTION:For instance, an input/output integral type device is formed with an input part 101 of a pressure sensitive tablet, and an output part 102 of a display device such as a liquid crystal display, etc. A detecting part 103 detects the use direction of this device and sends its result to a CPU 106, and the CPU 106 stores display data and a control procedure. By control procedures stored in a RAM 107 and a control memory ROM 108, the whole device is controlled. In such a way, in accordance with the use direction of the device, the display direction of a display screen can be changed, and a user of the device can use the device in the most desirable use direction. Moreover, the user can change the display direction without executing a special operation for changing the display direction, therefore, handleability can be improved.</p> |
