PURPOSE: To connect a shaft to an element to be connected by fixing a connecting element in the element to be connected by inserting the connecting element into the opening of the element to be connected in the direction perpendicular to the axial line of the shaft and providing an engaging means which engages both elements with each other. CONSTITUTION: A central hub section 7 has a recessed section 11 for seating a noncircular shaft 3 at the central part of an adjusting wheel 1. A part of the outer periphery of the wheel 1 is opened and the section 11 constitutes a part of the opening 13 of the wheel 1. The opening 13 is closed with a plastic wedge 15 and, when the wedge 15 is inserted into the opening 13, the part 17 of the wedge 15 inhibits the rotation of the shaft 3 in cooperation with the section 11 and connects the shaft 3 to the wheel 1. At the edge of the opening 13, strips 21 and 23 respectively having projections 29 and 31 are provided and the projections 29 and 31 are respectively engaged with engaging section 33 and 35 when the wedge 15 is inserted. When the wheel 1 is moved in the direction perpendicular to the axial line of the shaft 3 and the shaft 3 is positioned in the section 11, and then, the wedge 15 is inserted into the opening 13, the projections 29 and 31 are respectively engaged with the sections 33 and 35 and the shaft 11 is fixed in the section 11 in an unrotatable state. |
