PURPOSE:To edit each grouped graphic without cancelling a connected state individually and to perform graphic edit colorfully more than ever in a document preparing device equipped with a graphic edit function. CONSTITUTION:When an edit function is instructed after the connection of plural pieces of graphic data is designated via a keyboard 16, connection data(graphic data whose connection is designated) is copied on a working buffer 32 from a graphic buffer 31. At this time. the graphic data part of the connection data is copied on the working buffer 32, and the suppression of edit is applied to a copy original part, i.e., original data. The edit is performed on the graphic data part, and the graphic data after edit is displayed. Also, when the edit is cancelled, the original data is used, then, the data is displayed. |
