PURPOSE:To allow an observer to recognize accurately a virtual image with respect to a picture on a picture display panel without a sense of congruity and a sense of fatigue even when the picture display panel is large sized. CONSTITUTION:The display device is provided with liquid crystal display devices 3a, 3b and an eyepiece lenses 2a, 2b to form a picture of a picture display section 41 of the liquid crystal display device as a magnified virtual image. Optical axis adjustment devices 7a, 7b moving optical axes 10a, 10b to the center of left and right eyes 1a, 1b are provided in front of the eyepiece lenses 2a, 2b. The optical axis adjustment devices 7a, 7b consist of 1st and 2nd trapezoidal prisms 71, 72, whose tilt faces are opposite to each other at a prescribed interval (d) and the interval (d) between the tilt faces is made variable and the movement quantity (n) of the optical axes 10a, 10b is adjusted by varying the interval (d). |
