<p>PURPOSE:To simplify the operation of connecting and disconnecting each unit and to prevent poor contact of connectors as a result of repetition of the connecting and disconnecting operation by optically performing data communication between a basic unit and any extension unit. CONSTITUTION:In a basic unit 1 and a first extension unit 2, a light emitting element 104 and a light receiving element 105, provided at a concavity 101 of the bottom of the basic unit 1 directly face a light-receiving element 204 and a light emitting diode 105 provided at a concavity 201 of the top of the extension unit 2, mutually communicate data. Likewise, in the basic unit 1 and a second extension unit 3, a light emitting element 106 and a light receiving element 107 provided at the basic unit 1 directly face a light-receiving element 304 and a light emitting diode 305 provided at the second extension unit 3 via a concavity 202 of the first extension unit 2, mutually communicate data. Consequently, the basic unit 1 enables data to be communicated at each of a plurality of extension units 2 and 3.</p> |
