PURPOSE:To manufacture a large-sized homogeneous single-crystal ferrite by moving a crucible in the vertical direction in a heating furnace while a molten raw material is fed to the crucible at a nearly fixed speed by timely changing the composition of the raw material. CONSTITUTION:The solid raw material initially fed to an auxiliary crucible 3 is slightly increased in Fe and Zn contents against the initial raw material to a main crucible 3 and the solid raw material successively fed to the crucible 3 is further increased in Fe and Zn content from the initially fed composition. Since the evaporation from a melted zone in the crucible 3 is rich in Fe and Zn, the molten raw material in the crucible 3 becomes insufficient in these elements, but, by changing the composition of the solid raw material in the halfway, the Fe and Zn contents of the molten raw material fed to the crucible 3 gradually increase and the composition deviation caused by the evaporation can be compensated. Therefore, a large-sized homogeneous single-crystal Mn-Zn ferrite can be manufactured. |
