A closed system for keeping aquatic organisms successively comprises a pool, water-circulation means and cleaning means, which are coupled together by means of pipes. The system is constructed in frames to form a modular assembly of interconnected components, the cleaning means being designed with a tube frame in which a first bag is suspended and in which a cover is placed. The water which is fed into the bag is fed back to the pool via a passage. The cover is filled with clarifying agents. Furthermore, the bag may contain filter means, composed of strips of plastic film which are positioned in the direction of the upwardly flowing water and are attached to removable grids.
