PURPOSE:To efficiently and stably produce decorative paper having surface properties such as surface hardness, heat resistance or abrasion resistance and design effect. CONSTITUTION:An electron beam curable resin compsn. is applied to the surface of paper 6 good in resin absorbability and partially infiltrated in the paper 6 to be allowed to reach the vicinity of the rear of the paper while a part of the resin compsn. is allowed to remain on the surface of the paper and the uncured surface of the paper is irradiated with a small quantity of electron beam to be brought into contact with the surface of an embossed shaping roll 11 under pressure and, after the paper is peeled off, the paper is irradiated with electron beam from the rear thereof to perfectrly cure the electron beam curable resin compsn.
