PURPOSE:To provide an air conditioner, capable of discharging hot air heated by the heat exchanger without any obstacle to the operation of the air conditioner. CONSTITUTION:A window 4 is provided with an air discharging port 8, discharging air processed through a heat exchanger and formed on the main body 7 of the air conditioner on the side of the outer wall 1 of a building, a window opening detecting device 10, attached to the vicinity of the air discharging port 8, and a window opening detecting device operating body 11, operating the window opening detecting device when the window 4 is opened to a predetermined position. The operation of the main body 7 of the air conditioner is permitted by a control means when the window opening detecting device 10 has detected the opening of the window to the predetermined position whereby air, discharged out of the air discharging port 8 through the heat exchanger, can be discharged well to the outside of the air conditioner. |
