PURPOSE:To obtain coated fabric of polyester fiber excellent in washability and free from transfer of disperse dye by applying a resin solution containing a salt of a specific element to a dyed polyester fiber structure. CONSTITUTION:A polyester fiber structure dyed with a disperse dye is coated with a resin solution (preferred example: solution of polyurethane or acrylic resin) mixed with an aqueous solution of a salt of an element of the group IV A of the periodic table, e.g. ZrOCl2.8H2O or TiOCl2 as an water soluble salt of zirconium, titanium, etc., and is dried to provide the objective coated fabric of polyester fiber having excellent fastness to transfer of dye and stain. As the disperse dye capable of exhibiting especially preferable effect according to this method, an anthraquinone type dye having two anthraquinone nucleus- substituting groups selected from among primary and secondary amino groups, a hydroxyl group and a carboxyl group can be exemplified. |
