<p>PURPOSE:To treat waste water from pulp bleaching efficiently in a short time by decomposing and removing colored components and/or chlorinated phenols and/or other components contained in the water using bacteria capable of decomposing lignin, materials cultivated with them, and/or materials treated with them. CONSTITUTION:In a method for treating waste water from pulp bleaching, bacteria capable of decomposing lignin which have been cultivated in a medium added with the waste water and/or lignin related materials, materials cultivated with them, and/or materials treated with them are used to decompose and remove colored components difficult to decompose and/or chlorinated phenols and/or other components contained in the waste water. The bacteria mentioned above can promptly produce enzymes capable of decomposing colored components and chlorinated phenols contained in the waste water to achieve the efficient treatment.</p> |
