The bridge etc. floats carry a superstructure, consisting of several bridge elements (1, 1`) with access ramps (2, 2`) at both ends. The bridge elements with the firm access rams are linked by a two-part coupler (3, 3`), whose one half is folded over one access ramp. The coupler halves are secured to the bridge elements by clamping ties (5). The two halves of the coupler are linked by a hinge bolt (6) for a limited swivel movement. USE/ADVANTAGE - Simple, releasable coupling of the pontoon bridge elements taking up the swivelling action caused by the waves.
