The device has a one-piece cylinder body (9) and a rotary disc (10) engaging on each other axially via only one end face resp. disc face (17,22). First and second control edges (25,26,27,28) are located on this end/disc face only. The surface of the body has a circumferential fourth ring groove (19). This is separated fluid-tight from the other ring grooves (18,20,21), and is for feed/removal of hydraulic fluid to/from return line connection (14). The cylinder end face has two first and two second fluid chambers (23,24), which are connected to the first and second ring grooves (18,19) in the jacket surface. USE/ADVANTAGE - For motor vehicles.
