<p>The power unit for a vehicle includes a thermal engine (1) and an electric motor (2). At low speed, the electric motor (2) has a driving torque higher than the thermal engine's (1) load moment. The electric motor (2) is designed to operate without being mechanically disconnected from the thermal engine (1) when the latter is running at its operating speed. In particular, the electric motor makes it possible to replace the starting motor, the alternator, and the flywheel of the thermal engine, and to provide additional or independent propulsion.</p> |
