PURPOSE:To provide a thermal transfer material which has high-transfer density and is free from gradation of an image. CONSTITUTION:In a thermal transfer material constituted of a coloring matter donating material having a coloring matter donating layer containing a thermal transfer coloring matter on a substrate and a coloring matter receptive material having a coloring matter receptive layer receiving the thermal transfer coloring matter on the substrate, the thermal transfer coloring matter is a thermopolymerizable coloring matter possessing at least one ethylene property unsaturated group and the coloring matter receptive layer contains a thermopoly-merization initiator. |
