PURPOSE:To easily provide the title colorant which does not cause irregularity in color and a coating material containing it. CONSTITUTION:To provide a powdery colorant which contains a vinyl chloride resin, a synthetic resin other than the resin and having a softening point of 50-120 deg.C or a plasticizer that is solid at ordinary temperature, a plasticizer that is liquid at ordinary temperature, and a pigment, and to provide a coating material made by mixing the colorant, a vinyl chloride resin for forming a coating film, and an organic solvent. Because of the incorporation of a powdery colorant that can be readily kneaded and ground, is easy to handle and has excellent solubility, a coating material and a synthetic resin molding having good pigment dispersion and free from irregularity in color can be easily obtained. The coating film has good extensibility and strength and is free from whitening on stretching. |
