摘要 PURPOSE:To allow a turn at a small radius by gradually positioning the turning center at the body center if a reach-type forklift in response to handle operation. CONSTITUTION:In a reach type forklift 1 which has load wheels 12L, 12R supported so as to be steered and a drive wheel 11 provided so as to be steered by a handle, a left swing axis B and a right turn axis C are set at any position inward of a body from the center point S of the body beyond the steering centers M, N of the right and left load wheels and along an axis connecting the steering centers M, N. When an axis F drawn along a steering angle theta1 from the steering center 0 of the drive wheel 11 crosses the right and left turn axes B, C, angles thetaL, thetaR formed by axes H, I connecting its nodal point and the steering centers M, N of the right and left load wheels and an axis G connecting the steering centers M, N are steering-controlled as steering angles of the right and left load wheels 12L, 12R.
