PURPOSE:To prevent road surface interference at the time of transporting a vehicle by spreading a spacer by a slit wound from sideward to the periphery of a piston rod thereafter to return a dust cover to the original condition, in a condition that the piston rod is exposed by rolling up the dust cover. CONSTITUTION:A vehicle is placed in a stationary standard condition or a rebound condition (lifted up condition), and in a condition that a piston rod 22 is exposed by rolling up a dust cover 24a, a spacer 40 placed in the inside through between wire streaks of a suspension coil spring 12 is spread by a slit 45 and wound from sideward to the periphery of the piston rod 22. Thereafter, by returning the dust cover 24a to the original condition, the spacer 40 can be mounted on the periphery of the piston rod 22 and also removed in a reverse process, so that the spacer 40 can be easily mounted and removed without removing a constitutional part of the vehicle. |
