PURPOSE:To obtain the subject adhesive composition, comprising a specific urethane resin, an organic polyisocyanate and a catalyst, excellent in rapid curability and improved in adhesion to a fiber base fabric. CONSTITUTION:This adhesive composition comprises (A) a polyurethane resin, containing active hydrogen groups and having 5000-150000 average molecular weight, (B) an aromatic polyisocyanate, comprising >=20wt.% polyisocyanate containing isocyanurate ring and having 350-5000 molecular weight and (C) diaza-bicyclo-alkenes [e.g. 1,5-diaza-bicyclo(4.2.0)octene-5]. Although this adhesive composition is applied to a skin layer composed of a polyurethane resin and a fiber base fabric preferably having one napped surface is then laminated thereto and thermoset to afford a synthetic leather, the adhesion to the base fabric is excellent and improved curing without emitting malodor in production is manifested by using this adhesive composition. |
