PATTERN AREA RATIO MEASURING METHOD

PURPOSE:To provide an area ratio measuring method of patterns which enables the measuring of a pattern area ratio even though positioning is not made at a specified position with respect to a support means thereof. CONSTITUTION:In a method of measuring a pattern area ratio for a printing plate, the positions of at least two points S1 and S2 are calculated on the edge 13E of a printing plate 13 based on a relationship between a ratio of a plain part 13C of the printing plate 13 in a view field of a sensor 33 and a sensor output value. A linear direction formed by the at least two points S1 and S2 is recognized as the direction of inclination of the printing plate 13 to determine an inclination state of the printing plate 13.
