<p>PURPOSE:To enable suppressing drying and keeping vegetables fresh for many hours irrespective of an amount of storage by maintaining a high humidity inside a vegetable storage container within a vegetable chamber and applying electric field treatment even when an amount of vegetables stored is small. CONSTITUTION:A cover 14 is provided to have a moisture permeable film 14 which covers a top panel of a vegetable storage container 13, the top panel being opened. Arranged around the substantially closed vegetable storage container 13 are a pair of needle electrodes 15 and a plate electrode 17 which vertically face each other, a high tension power supply 18 and a humidity sensor for controlling the high tension power supply 18.</p> |
