摘要 A hydraulic system is built into the suspension system of a vehicle to maintain the body in a level position relative to a fixed point of reference. Located between each wheel axle and the body is a hydraulic linear actuator and each of these have an associated pressure regulating valve. Each valve has four connections (16-19) and a control input (20) that connects with an electrically actuated pilot valve stage that also connects with one of the other ports (17). The valve has a control spool (46) aligned with a spring biased (54) valve poppet (53). Radial ports control the flow to the valve connections and regulate the pressure delivered to the suspension actuators. The poppet has an elastomer insert (52) that provides seating in the fail-safe condition. USE/ADVANTAGE - Active control of vehicle wheel suspension height and level. Provides long life, reduced costs. Fail safe operation.
