PURPOSE: To improve a holder plate of a cutting tool for improving a manufacture yield of a hard insert. CONSTITUTION: To a groove of a V-shaped cross section to compose a contact surface of an insert 2, a ridge or cam of a V-shaped cross section of a holder plate 1 corresponding to it is parted to a pair of inner surface parts 22, 22' and a pair of outer surface parts 23, 23' on the outer side of these at inflection lines 21, 21' and an included angle between the inner surface parts 22, 22' and an included angle between the outer surface parts 23, 23' are set at a specified angle relative to a specific included angle between flank surfaces 14, 14' of the groove. The flexible holder plate 1 is, therefore, relatively elastically deformed to compensate size tolerance of the V-groove in the insert 2, thereby the insert 2 and the holder favorably get in contact with each other. |
