PURPOSE:To wash filamentous seaweeds and to remove Gammaridea and dust attached to filamentous seaweeds in high efficiency. CONSTITUTION:An upper net 2 is laid in water in a water tank 1 which is supplied with filamentous seaweeds from the top at the rear part. The upper part of an endless net conveyor 4 for transporting filamentous seaweeds equipped with a great number of filamentous seaweeds engaging members 3 is arranged in such a way that the upper part is advanced between the bottom of the water tank 1 and the upper net 2. A washing water feed pipe 5 and an air jetting pipe 7 having a great number of air spraying holes 6 are installed between the upper part of the endless net conveyor 4 for transporting filamentous seaweeds and the bottom of the water tank 1.
