PURPOSE:To simply manufacture a resin wheel cap as compared with prior art and to remarkably improve productivity by forming a colored layer of a high purity aluminum foil having a thickness of about 5-15mum. CONSTITUTION:A method for manufacturing a resin wheel cap 1 comprises the steps of spinning 1c continuous sawtooth or waveform shapes on a design surface 1a of the cap 1 by resin molding, integrally molding a transfer foil 2 made of a base film 2a.a peeling layer 2b.a hard coating layer 2c.a deposited layer 2d of aluminum, etc., an adhesive layer 2c on the surface of the spinned part 1c by an in-mold transferring method, and then peeling the film 2a. The layer 2d is formed of a high purity aluminum foil 2f having a thickness of about 5-15mum. Thus, the foil 2 is in-molded thereby to improve external appearance design of the cap 1 and to improve scuffing resistance. |
