VARIABLE DISPLACEMENT TYPE COMPRESSOR

PURPOSE:To protect a compressor and restrain excessive cooling for elimination of an electromagnetic clutch. CONSTITUTION:This compressor is provided with a forced return means for forcibly-holding a sleeve 12 which travels on a driving shaft 6 at the minimum displacement position according to the inclination angle displacement of a pivoted rotating swash plate 14, and a release means for storing the forced return means against the energizing force by the supply of discharge pressure through a lead passage 35 and permitting the sleeve 12 travel to a zero displacement position to permit an electromagnetic clutch to be eliminated, thus providing reduction in the weight of the compressor and engine load.
