PURPOSE:To manufacture a hydrogen storage alloy for enclosed battery, the initial characteristic of which, in particular, is improved. CONSTITUTION:After a battery is formed by using an electrode containing an AB2Laves phase based on a hydrogen storage alloy of Zr(Ti)-Ni containing Cr, the battery is heated. A paste formed by adding a polyvinyl alcohol solution to the powder of ZrMn0.5Cr0.2V0.1Ni1.2, for example, is charged in a foaming nickel plate of 1.00mm in thickness and of 95% porosity, and the electrode is cut, and a battery is formed by mounting a lead plate by spot welding, which is then heated at a temperature ranging from 50-100 deg.C. |
