PURPOSE:To obtain a GPS receiver, which does not output the measured position data having the large error at the time of reception again when the GPS signal cannot be received and the position measurement is stopped. CONSTITUTION:A psedu-distance-measurement-inability-period counting part 8A counts the period wherein the pseudo distance cannot be measured during the reception of the signal transmitted from a GPS receiver. A position- measurement-stopping-signal generating part 8B outputs a position-measurement stopping signal, which stops the position measuring operation during the counted period wherein the pseudo distance cannot be measured and during the specific period based on the counted period from the pseudo-distance-measurement- inability-period counting part 8A when the pseudo distance can be measured again after the period wherein pseudo distance could not be measured, to a position measurement operating part 9. The operation of the position measurement is stopped during the period wherein the pseudo distance cannot be measured and during the specified period based on the period wherein the pseudo distance cannot be measured. The measured position data having the large error are not outputted. |
