PURPOSE:To shorten working time and to eliminate the wasteful printing of an unrequired page by easily retreiving a page where a desired sentence is stored in a word processor. CONSTITUTION:A list display type page selection processing part composed of a control part 5, a page list display data file 6 and a list data extraction part 7 list-displays document data extracted by the specified number of rows from the respective pages of the specified document of a document file 4 corresponding to the instruction of an operator and the operator can select the page while looking at the displayed document data. The list data extraction part 7 segments the document data for the prescribed number of the rows from the specified positions (leading row, for instance) of the respective pages of the specified document from the document file 4 and registers them to the page list display data file 6. When the operator requests page list display, the control part 5 screen-displays the data for one screen from the page list display data file 6 and when the operator instructs and selects a target sentence by a cursor, the document data of the pertinent page are read from the document file 4 and screen-displayed. |
