The outside of at least one bottom (8a) has a recess (9) extending from one side (3) to the other side (2) and tapering in the same direction. The edges of the side parts of at least one case part (7) have cavities (13) taking the top of the two safety belt parts. The cavity of the one edge is near the top wall (4) and the cavity (13) is near the bottom wall (6). The edges of the side parts (2a) of the other case part (8) have protuberances (15-18) fitting into cavities (11-14). ADVANTAGE - The case or briefcase fits easily and securely in an upright position on to the seat of a vehicle where it is fastened by a safety belt.
