The signal coupler uses a flat cable (29) extending together with blind cables (31,32) between an inner housing (23) and as outer housing (27), which can rotate relative to one another. Each of the cables has a winding direction reversal zone (29a,31a,32a), at least one blind cable (32) having a stop element (41) responding to the rotation of the inner housing in the reverse winding direction to block full reverse winding of the flat cable. Pref. the second blind cable has the same length as the flat cable, the blind cable with the stop element having a shorter length than the other two cables. USE - For signal coupling to air-bag safety system incorporated in steering wheel of motor vehicle.
