摘要	Lip cream consists of an ointment base and a combination of different active agents. The novelty is that an antiviral agent (I) and a UV light protective agent (II) are contained in an O/W emulsion contg. sulphobetaine (SB) and stearyl alcohol (SA). USE/ADVANTAGE - The cosmetic/medicinal cream inhibits formation of sores caused by herpes simplex viruses (herpes solaris, herpes labialis), which are activated by UV rays; and also provides protection against UV rays, e.g. before sunbathing. Release of (I) and (II) from the base is optimised, to provide strong and complete protection, with (II) incorporated into the epidermis. (I) may also provide antiphlogistic action. The compsn. has therapeutic and prophylactic action against lip mucous diseases.
