Wire (38) is routed onto a bus plate (74) by a wire routing device which comprises a wire feed mechanism (14) and a non-rotatable wire routing head (16). The wire routing head (16) has a horn (48) which includes an inverted funnel-shaped orifice (72). The wire feed mechanism (14) pushes wire (38) into the inverted funnel-shaped orifice (72) which routes the wire (38) in wire receiving channels and passages of the bus plate (74) in linear and non-linear patterns without any need for rotating the horn (48) with respect to the bus plate (74). <IMAGE>
