PRODUCTION OF CYLINDRICAL MOLDING

PURPOSE:To easily obtain a cylindrical molding closed at one end thereof by a method wherein a soln. of a molding material is applied to the outside of a cylindrical mold closed at one end thereof and composed of elastic rubber to be dried and the mold is deformed to take out the molding. CONSTITUTION:A cylindrical mold 1 closed at one end thereof is attached to a support plate 2 and the cavity thereof can be reduced in pressure through the through-hole 3 piercing the support plate 2. This mold 1 is dipped in a soln. of the material constituting a molding to be drawn up and the soln. applied to the mold 1 is dried and solidified to form a molding along the outside of the mold 1. The cavity of the mold 1 is reduced in pressure through the through- hole 3 of the support plate 2 and a gap is formed between the mold 1 and the molding to detach the molding from the mold 1. In this case, it is necessary that the mold 1 has strength permitting deformation by reduced pressure and a release agent may be applied to the mold in order to easily take out the molding.
