PURPOSE: To decrease frequency of breaking of tooth in a rotary tooth-forming unit. CONSTITUTION: A method of cold forming a toothed wheel comprising the steps of rotating a rotary holding unit 52 about the preform axis on condition that the preform is fixed and the internal part of an outer annular section of the preform is within a back-up space provided by a holding unit, and of rotating a tooth-forming tool unit 70 in a state in which the axes of rotation are parallel and the rotational speeds are synchronized about the rotary shaft in a predetermined rotational relation. |
