PURPOSE:To obtain a mouse-derived monoclonal antibody having specific affinity for antigens classified by serum of Pseudomonas aeruginosa and direct aggregation activity against Pseudomonas aeruginosa by culturing a specific hybridoma. CONSTITUTION:A splenocyte of a mouse immunized against a bacterium of Pseudomonas aeruginosa serum type is subjected to cell fusion with a mouse myeloma (tumor strain) to prepare a hybridoma. The hybridoma is cultured in a proper medium under a given condition to form a mouse-derived monoclonal antibody, which is purified by a means such as gel filtration or ion exchange cellulose chromatography. Consequently, a mouse-derived monoclonal antibody having specific affinity for antigens classified by serum of Pseudomonas aeruginosa and direct aggregation activity against Pseudomonas aeruginosa and a globulin class of IgG is obtained. In the case of using the monoclonal antibody for preventing and treating infectious diseases with Pseudomonas aeruginosa, the monoclonal antibody is preferably used in the form of injection. |
