PURPOSE:To provide an ink jet recording paper which requires only a low application quantity and is excellent in coloring, curling, travelling properties in a printer, and striking-through of ink by use of highly absorptive base paper. CONSTITUTION:Aqueous ink jet recording paper is obtained as follows; an ink acceptive coating layer having white pigment and an aqueous polymer adhesive as main components is provided to one side surface of base paper having cellulose pulp as a main component; and a coating layer consisting of an aqueous polymer adhesive containing 0.1-10wt.% of aliphatic hydrocarbon or metallic soap lubricant per a solid content of total coating layer of a surface is provided at a rate of 0.4-6g/m<2> to an opposed surface. Since its image quality is excellent and there is no trouble in travelling with a printer thereby, high speed ink jet printing as a sheet can be performed. |
