MODEM SYSTEM, DATA COMMUNICATION SYSTEM AND COMPUTER SYSTEM

摘要

PURPOSE: To provide a modem having minimum cost, power consumption and size by dispersing the load of a data error correction/compression processing between modem (DCE) and a host data terminal equipment(DTE). CONSTITUTION: A modem system used with a host computer containing CPU 20 and a memory 24 is provided with DCE 12 connected to receive data and a control signal from CPU and a storage medium containing a program for executing algorithm with synchronous data error correction and data compression and/or expansion. Algorithm can be loaded on the memory 24 so that it can be executed by CPU 20 at the time of transferring data to DCE 12.
