PURPOSE:To provide the intruding body detecting device which is reduced in power consumption and prolongs the life of an ultrasonic vibrator. CONSTITUTION:A transmitting means 2 intermittently send an ultrasonic wave to a detection space and a receiving means 3 receives its reflected wave for a certain time after the transmission and outputs reception data corresponding to the reflected wave; and a microprocessor 4 as a deciding means decides whether or not there is an intruding body on the basis of the reception data. Therefore, the ultrasonic wave need not continuously and successively be sent and received, and consequently the power consumption is reducible, the life of the ultrasonic vibrator is prolonged, and even intrusion which is low in moving speed can be detected. |
