PURPOSE:To prevent a decrease in the opening rate of the color liquid crystal display device using a liquid crystal display board with an increase in the number of picture elements by coloring. CONSTITUTION:A white light emitting plasma unit 3 is inputted with a brightness signal and outputs the white light of the brightness meeting this bright signal. A TFT-LCD unit 1 is stuck atop this white light emitting plasma unit 3. The TFT-LCD unit 1 and the white light emitting plasma unit 3 are so stuck to each other that the respective picture elements of the former unit and the respective picture elements of the latter unit correspond in one to one to each other. The TFT-LCD unit 1 refracts the white light outputted from the white light emitting plasma unit 3 at the refractive index meeting the color signal and outputs the light as a color image. |
