PURPOSE:To generate low voltage in a storage battery for constituting an uninterruptive power supply. CONSTITUTION:Diodes 30, 46 are connected in parallel to switching element 22, 29 connected in series, and capacitors 28, 32 are connected in series between the elements 22, 29. Switching elements 34, 36 are connected in series between the capacitors 28, 32. A reactor 26 and a capacitor 18 are connected in series between the connecting point of the elements 22, 29 and the connecting point of the capacitors 28, 32. The capacitor 18 is connected to an AC power supply. A switching element 62 and a storage battery 60 are connected in series between the connecting point of the element 22 and the capacitor 28 and the connecting point of the reactor 26 and the capacitor 18. The element 22 is periodically turned on and off when the voltage of the AC power supply is of one polarity and when the AC power supply is interrupted. The element 29 is periodically turned on and off when the AC power supply is of the other polarity. The element 62 is turned on when the AC power supply is interrupted. |
