<p>PURPOSE:To prevent discrenation from being generated by composing a scanning signal of a signal including a high-potential voltage turning ON a switching transistor(TR) and a signal including a specific low-potential normal value voltage turning OFF the TR. CONSTITUTION:On a substrate, scanning signal lines 21 and image signal lines 23 are provided in matrix. Pixel electrodes 23 are provided at the intersections of both the lines. Further, gate electrodes are connected to the scanning lines 21 and the switching TR 24 to which a source drain electrode 24c is connected is connected to the image signal line 22 and pixel electrode 23. Then a scanning signal VG(n-1) applied to the scanning signal line 21 is composed of the signal including the high-potential voltage turning ON the switching TR 24 and the signal including the normal value voltage turning OFF the TR. Then the normal value voltage is set to <=-7V. Consequently, the low-potential time of the scanning signal line 21 becomes long and the time in which a lateral electric field is produced nearby the pixel electrode 23 becomes short. Consequently. discrenation can effectively be prevented from being generated.</p> |
