PURPOSE:To shorten the length of the bypass air pipe of a V-type engine so as to insure a space for arranging an air regulator and attain a light weighted and compact engine, and provide an intake pipe construction to prevent inflow of purge air into the bypass air pipe. CONSTITUTION:An intake air distribution pipe 24 positioned on the outward of one end in the cylinder axis direction over each side cylinder bank of an engine and connecting together a throttle body and the each side surge tank part 30A, 30B of each side intake manifold 28A, 28B is arranged, and a bypass air pipe 38 to supply bypass air to the lower stream side of the throttle body is connected to the collecting pipe part 24-1 of the intake air distribution pipe and provided. An air regulator 44 on the way of the bypass air pipe is positioned and arranged on the outward of one end in the cylinder axis direction of the engine under the intake air distribution pipe, a purge air pipe 46 to supply purge air from a canister is connected to the collecting pipe part of the intake air distribution pipe and provided, and a purge air outlet part is openingly provided under a bypass air outlet part on the collecting pipe part. |
