IMAGE REGULATION DEVICE IN OFFSET PRESS

PURPOSE:To accurately adjust an image regulation device in an offset press. CONSTITUTION:A rotating amount transmission mechanism is provided for relatively rotating a cylinder 101 and a blanket cylinder gear 107 in an offset press in accordance with a misregistration of an image position. A first detector 53 for detecting the rotating position of the cylinder and a second detector 63 for detecting the rotating position of a blanket cylinder are provided. The present positions of the blanket cylinder 101 and the blanket cylinder gear 107 are obtained from a phase difference between the first and second detectors and stored in a storage device. An image position adjusting amount for eliminating an image position misregistration obtained from a printed matter is inputted from an input device to the rotating amount transmission mechanism. The input device actuates the rotating amount transmission mechanism on the basis of the present position stored in a previous printing by an amount in accordance with the image adjusting amount. Since the present position is indicated, inclusive of an error caused by a backlash, the cylinder 101 is rotated relatively to the cylinder gear 107 by an amount equal to the adjusting amount.
