PURPOSE: To avoid bending of an operating edge of a doctor blade and to prolong a period of durability by bringing the edge into contact with an outer periphery of a doctor roller on a straight line extended in a lateral axis line of blade and supporting a closed plate of the doctor elastically with a spring in a base of a doctor device at an end face side. CONSTITUTION: Doctor blades of the doctor are of the type disposed at a negative holding angle to a doctor roller. Here, the blades 8, 9 of the doctor device 1 are simultaneously held into contact with an outer periphery of a doctor roller 2 on a straight line extended in a direction of lateral axes 14, 16 of the blades 8, 9. A closed plate 12 disposed in the device 1 at an end side is elastically supported of a spring 51 in the base 3 of the device 1. It is preferable that the roller 2 is disposed at an angle α of 40 to 60 deg. to a tangent T of a contact line of the edges of the blades 8, 9. |
