TRANSFERRIN NONDEMANDING CELL

摘要

PURPOSE:To provide a B lymphocyte-based cell useful as a host cell for producing a valuable protein, capable of being multiplied and subjected to subculture in a serum-free medium containing no transferrin. CONSTITUTION:A cell capable of being multiplied and subjected to subculture in a serum-free medium is transformed by using a recombinant DNA of a DNA fragment containing a gene encoding transferrin and a vector DNA to form a B lymphocyte-based cell capable of being subjected to subculture in three or more generations in a serum-free medium containing no transferrin.
