PURPOSE:To impart excellent adhesiveness and flame-retardancy to a maleimide compd. (resin) without detriment to its high heat resistance by compounding it with a specific allylated phenol resin. CONSTITUTION:An allylated amine compd. (e.g. allylamine), a phenol resin, and an aldehyde (e.g. formalin) are reacted as the essential reactants to give an allylated phenol resin, which is compounded with a compd. and/or a resin having maleimide goups (e.g. a maleimide resin modified with an arom. hydrocarbon). Thus, the excellent adhesiveness and flame-retardancy inherent in a phenol resin is imparted to the maleimide compd. (resin) without detriment to the high heat resistance inherent in the latter, giving a high-performance cured resin article. |
