<p>PURPOSE:To effectively utilize an estate on a septic tank and prevent malodors etc., by providing a plurality of clay-covered manholes of lattice or porous plate structure on an oxidation vessel having an aeration chamber containing modular filter beds. CONSTITUTION:Sewage is introduced through an inlet port 16 and conducted to a sedimentation separator or sedimentation vessel 20 by a pump 19. The foul water flows from an inlet port 17 into an aeration chamber 6 filled with modular filter beds 10a, 10b and is forcibly introduced into the modular filter beds through a pump-up tube 23 so that the water flows vertically in a front section and horizontally (shelf flow) in a rear section and is highly purified. The purified water is drained through an outlet port 18. Sludge in the aeration chamber and a final sedimentation chamber is conducted to a sludge digestion chamber 8 through a sludge pull-out pipe 25 and a return pipe 26. A sludge outlet port 9a is provided in the top of a sludge reservoir 9. Air lifting, back washing of the modular filter beds and aeration pumping-up are caused by a blower 21 through the pump-up tube 23, a deaeration pipe 24 and an air feed pipe 22.</p> |
