摘要

PURPOSE:To provide a light emitting device where contribution to coupling to an optical fiber according to the parabola-shaped reflection surface of irradiation light is improved by carefully considering the diameter and shape of the parabola-shaped reflection surface for reflecting light which is applied from an LED chip. CONSTITUTION:Since the bottom surface shape of a parabola-shaped reflection surface 1 is in nearly the same as the bottom shape of an LED chip 2, the diameter of the parabola-shaped reflection surface 1 can be reduced and the amount of reflection light from the parabola-shaped reflection surface 1 into an optical fiber 3 can be increased, thus improving the coupling efficiency between the optical fiber 3 and the LED chip 2.
