In a process for improvement of the surfaces of glass, food and drink items, such as plates and glasses, the item is dipped in or sprayed with a coating of lacquer (''Ormocerlack''). The coating can be used as base for transfer printing or decoration. USE - Low cost, prevents transfer of heavy metals from some types of glass.
